One of the most common challenges for students with dyslexia is remembering new vocabulary, spelling patterns, and key facts from lessons. Traditional study methods, like memorizing long word lists or rereading dense notes, often don’t work well. They can feel repetitive, overwhelming, and ineffective. This course introduces learners to AI-powered flashcards and memory tools that make practice smarter, more interactive, and more personalized. In this module, students will explore how AI transforms flashcards into dynamic learning companions. Unlike paper cards that always appear in the same order, AI flashcards adapt to the learner’s progress. Words or concepts that are answered correctly show up less often, while the tricky ones reappear until they are mastered. This approach ensures that time is spent where it matters most. We’ll also dive into the science of spaced repetition, a technique where information is reviewed at carefully timed intervals to make it “stick” in long-term memory. Instead of cramming the night before a test, students will learn how AI schedules reviews automatically, taking the stress out of planning. This method not only improves recall but also builds confidence as students see measurable progress over time. To make studying more engaging, learners will try out flashcards that combine images, audio, and interactive quizzes. For example, a vocabulary word might be paired with a picture, its spoken pronunciation, and a sentence example. This multi-sensory approach strengthens memory by engaging sight, sound, and context all at once. By the end of this course, students will have created their own set of personalized flashcards and discovered how to use AI to manage review sessions effectively. More importantly, they will realize that memory training doesn’t have to be boring or discouraging. With the right tools, remembering words and ideas becomes active, fun, and empowering.
